I am intrigued by the paths chosen by those around me, my work is an attempt to document a glimpse into steps taken; into another point of view. I am fascinated by ideas of culture and sub-culture, and what defines community around the world. My inspiration is drawn from the beauty of everyday life, the energy exchanged in meeting new people, and the pursuit of the discovery of common bonds of humanity, universal truths in society that may serve as foundations for acceptance. For the past several years I have been involved in a number of personal and group photography projects in the United States and abroad, exploring social and cultural situations often concerning injustice or a need for community awareness, but also more simply as documentation of our collective life’s journey in this time.
